In 2011, the 'MOLLY PROJECT' was born and this is how it all started...  

MISSION PAWSABLE created specially padded hats that were INSPIRED by a very SPECIAL Maltese furbaby named -- you guessed it -- MOLLY.  I met Molly's human Mom, Gail West Zeolla via Facebook about the middle of September 2010 connected by a profile photo that she saw of my Maltese, Maxie. We share the same passion in animals and we both love and have Maltese furbabies! I watched videos of Molly as she played and explored in her little world of comforters and padded pillows (Gail's living room) and discovered that she has cognitive problems and is blind. You would not think Molly is blind by all the energy she exudes and the way she jumps around in her little 'padded world.' Gail says sometimes Molly plays so hard that she falls and bumps her little head making a 'thump' sound that Gail cringes to hear. This is something that constantly worries Gail and she does whatever it takes to ensure that Molly and Chance (Molly's older canine brother) are well taken care of and live in a safe home environment.

Gail is not only a caring and loving mother and grandmother but is also a very special foster mom who along with her husband, Tony has opened up their home and hearts to these precious ‘special needs’ furbabies (both past and present) over the past years. 

I was touched and inspired to do something for Molly that will help protect her little head. Therefore, I searched for a pattern close to what I had in mind and modified it especially for Molly. After doing a few 'modified prototypes' of the padded hats and using my own Maltese as 'stand-in' models for Molly, I made some 'smooth versions' of the hats and sent them to Gail. She said they fit Molly perfectly! I was thrilled that they fit perfectly, look great and most importantly serve the purpose for which they were made -- to protect her little head ... now everybody is HAPPY!! 

This new line of padded hats is in the newborn stage and we will custom-make these hats to be tailored to the wearer. This hat line will come in all sizes to accommodate special furbabies (big and small) that require padded head protection. The padded hats were initially inspired to accommodate limited sight and blind dogs, but have recently discovered that it will serve another purpose. Gail announced to all her friends that if all went well with the home check she would possibly be fostering another ‘special needs’ furbaby who is a 3 year old Silky Terrier named Cody who was diagnosed as having congenital hydrocephalus.

This has been one of my 'heart projects' and it was a joy to produce!

In 2010, we publicly introduced our new and improved' 'DONATIONS' dog vest product to our 'Custom-Made Canine Apparel' line. Our vest is available in three sizes (MED, LRG and X-LRG); and comes in your choice of Red, Royal Blue, Emerald Green, Yellow, Black and Orange. Prior to the end of 2009, we introduced a few NEW products to our 'Custom-Made Canine Apparel' line:

1) Mesh Harness Vests (Small Breed Style) Mesh fabric with black webbing down and across the back with a sturdy D-ring securely attached in place. Currently in sizes (XS) to (MED) with optional reflective strip for evening visibility.

2) Nylon Harness Vests (Small Breed Style) Nylon fabric with black webbing down and across the back with a sturdy D-ring securely attached in place. Currently in sizes (XS) to (MED) with optional reflective strip for evening visibility. Are there any ferrets in the house? We have harness vests small enough for your ferrets, teacups and micro babies! 3) Basic Nylon Vests (Small Breed Style) which is a smaller but more tailored version of the original 'Basic' vest (with optional webbing/D-ring and reflective strip). Available in sizes (XXS) to (LRG). 4) 'ADOPT ME' Nylon Vests (Small Breed Style) which is a smaller but more tailored version of the original 'ADOPT ME' vest. Available in sizes (XXS) to (LRG).
